Best insurance company for landlord policy

Please what company has the best and less expensive rate for landlord's policy? I was under the impression that landlord's policy is cheaper than homeowners insurance. I'm switching my Homeowner's insurance to landlords policy because I will be renting it out but I'm surprised to receive a quote that doubles my Homeowner's insurance when I thought landlords policy will be a lot cheaper. Please kindly recommend a good company with good rates for landlords policy. Thank you!

Hi Sherry,

It's not as simple as asking which company has good rates. They all have different "appetites" and will give good or bad rates based on such things as structure age, roof age, distance from coast, etc. It is best to work with an Independent Agent in your area who knows the regional appetites of the companies.

Good luck!
