Additional insurer for Porperty Managment Company

My husband and I recently bought two rental SFH properties and both has managed by property management company. Per the agreement, property management company requests us to add it as additional insurer. But our current policy carrier could not do that. I also called several other insurance companies and found some of them could not do that either. Is it normal?
