Insurance for a vacant property
I just received a property via quit claim deed from a family member. However, the property is gutted to the studs. I haven’t started any renovations, but I want to know can I get insurance on a vacant property with no electrical, plumbing, floors etc. If yes, what type of insurance? Thanks!

Greg Tunes you can get insurance on it - you just have to let them know it’s vacant. They will want to know if the water and power are on as that will make a difference in rates. Note insurance will be a lot higher than usually for it
