Best Insurance for Delaware 4 Unit Mixed Use

I’m getting ready to make an offer on a residential triplex, which I plan to convert to a 4 unit mixed use building. My first question is should I just get quotes as though it was a commercial mixed use now or go straight to residential and switch to commercial later? Next question is could anyone recommend to me a good carrier or broker for a property in Delaware?

When you get a chance to talk to a broker I would explain to them what you are doing and they can advise the insurance that will actually protect you through the different stages of the property's life cycle. Best not to speculate on this, have an incident occur, and then find out that you aren't covered. Feel free to reach out and connect if you'd like to know who I'm using for insurance. Not sure if they can meet your needs but you can at least try.
