Insurance for demolition

Hi,

This is my first post to Bigger Pockets.  I am on the verge of purchasing a double lot with an abandoned house.  The house is of no use, and will have to be demolished.  Instead of rebuilding the house, we are planning to sell the land once the house is gone.  I understand that any contractor who will be working at the property should have insurance, but we are wondering if it is worth it to obtain our own insurance in case the contractors coverage is not enough to cover an unforeseen accident.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
