Do I really need a "Builders Reno" policy?
Hi. I am about to flip my first house and I'm already learning a lot. I just got a quote from my primary insurance company. They said that I need a "builders renovation" policy. Renovations should take about 2 months and I got quoted $1,300 for just a 3 month policy. This was about $1,000 more than I accounted for in my insurance numbers so I'm wondering if I really need this type of policy or can I just get a regular homeowners insurance policy? Or is there something else that is cheaper? Thanks for any advice!
