Losing Landlord Insurance

Allen Hodges

I recently was notified that the insurance policy for my property is not being renewed.  The house has survived many hurricanes with little damage, but the insurance company said they would not renew coverage without a windstorm exclusion.  Do folks have recommendations for other insurance companies still willing to write landlord policies in Beaumont and Jefferson County?  Thanks for your advice.

look into nreig.com. I have a property in galveston that they cover. I can't say I've ever had any insurance claims, so I can't speak to that,  but they are very helpful and quick to answer questions or update my policies.

Which carrier is non-renewing you? Did your agent approach Citizens?
