Roof replacement Cost Value

Hi,

I opened claim for roof and wind /hail damage and it seems insurance agreed approved the claim. Later when I got the estimate what I found out that they are only going to give replacement cost coz roof is at 10 year life and won't pay for it. However, the amount after deductible it is like 25% of total cost of replacing the roof. At least for now , I don't want to pay out of pocket to replace the roof since roof is in decent shape but was thinking to get it replace if insurance is going to pay :). Let says now if I change the insurance company or be with the same company and wait for 1-2 year to replace the roof will it be issue? After 1-2 years, if I open roof claim for roof damage coz of hail/wind will insurance company reject stating I did not fixed in 2023?

The claim does shows up in clue report and it shows that insurance paid on cost value for the roof.

Thanks for guidance.
