Resources for learning about insurance, and what I need?

Lincoln Waite

I've been googling all about insurance and it's left me with confusion and questions in some places. I know I need property insurance, and should have my renters get renter's insurance. And when I have enough assets I should look into umbrella insurance.

But, where do I go to learn about what I need for property insurance? What exactly do I need? What are the best questions to ask my insurance provider? What topics should I avoid to cause less friction in getting insurance?

If there are any good resources, or any insurance providers/ brokers that could answer my questions, I would be grateful, as I am looking to learn.
