Insurable interest vs. interested party coverage
Our principal residence and autos are titled in the name of our living trust in New York. The trust is listed as an interested party on both the auto and homeowners insurance policy. Does the trust share the same protection as the listed insureds in case of loss or claim including lawsuits ? The owners of the policies are also the trustees of the living trust.
