Hello All,

Insurance Broker here! I have a background In property management before my Insurance career. I specialize in investor insurance but work with many types of clients. I just wanted to post the best process for an investor buying insurance.

For starters, you want to hire an Insurance broker. You have probably heard that a lot, and it is no knock to the State Farm and Farmers of the world but they have one option and they are married to it. An insurance broker usually has 30+ options and it will be in their best interest to sell you the cheapest one because retention is king as an independent agent.

Secondly, you want the broker to be familiar with you, the investor. They need to understand that keeping your assets properly protected for the most amount of cash flow is the priority. Advising you is our job.

Finally, both of these lead to the most important thing in buying insurance. These Brokers will routinely re-shop your insurance on a yearly basis to make sure the renewals of the company they originally placed you with are not messing with your cash flow. Keeping an eye on your renewals is our best selling point. Not to mention, you are too busy to call around and shop multiple agents every 365 days. You have better things to worry about.
