Triple Wholesale Deal?

Hello-

I am curious about triple wholesaling. Is this something that is able to be done? Meaning, am I able to wholesale a deal that another person is already trying to wholesale?

If so, am I still able to put a contingency period in the contract to protect myself and give me an out if needed? 

I apologize for the rookie nature of this question, but want to make sure I'm covering all of my bases.
