Do bail bondsmen buy land locked deals?

While cold calling a seller informed my colleague that bail bondsmen buy land locked deals because the city will give them 3-10x the appraisal of any lot they own in the city, to bail people out. I thought this was interesting so I called around and the second bail bondsman I got a hold of said he did in fact purchase lots & houses in the area. I’ve called about 6 bail bondsmen and only 2 of them have told me they buy. I’m curious to see if any other wholesalers have actually closed on a land locked deal with a bail bondsman before, or if I just happened to run into some part time investor bondsmen.
