Talked to motivated seller and he said he will sell his 3/1 sfh for 1000. He said he owes 8000 in taxes and the house needs about 6000-8000 in repairs. I had no idea what the houses in the area where worth and I just talked him down as low as I could and we finally agreed on 1000 and I pay closing cost. My question is what's going on with that 8000 in taxes. Is he expecting me to pay that. Comps in the area are about 35k in a very small town.
