Wholesale turn buy and hold property?

Any wholesalers out there end up finding a property but decided to use it as a rental property for themselves?

I started building my rental portfolio with just such a deal. My partner and I could have wholesaled it and make $15K or so but we felt it was too good a deal to give away.

We wanted to hold rentals but needed the money also. We decided we wouldn't get another chance to add a rental this good anytime soon so we decided to keep it. That was a great decision.
