Do we need a sellers / wholesalers license to be a wholesaler?

Hi I’m Jorge and I’m interested in becoming a wholesaler. However, I am unaware of what I need to reach that goal. If anyone could help me out it would be highly appreciated. Also do we need any sort of license to do this? Cause I’ve been looking online and all these websites come up on how to get a license in five minutes and it just makes me think if it’s all a scam.
