Wholesale Partnership Issues

Jon Mann
Posted

My friend got me into wholesaling. He had been trying to get a deal for about a year or so. I come in to start learning and helping. Keep in mind he had no business established and never closed anything. But I was grateful he had shown me the possibilities of this. When I came in I was always doing research and brought in a Sms system to text sellers and found a buyer software. The sms platform reach an interested seller, and we found a buyer using the buyer software. We closed our first deal. Now closed a second. My friend is treating me like he owns the entire business since he had the idea for so long, which I get. But He wants to give me 8 percent equity and not even a percentage of the deals. Wants me to be commission only with 5 other guys who he’s bringing in. I had no problem with not being the main owner but this is ridiculous. We now have a huge opportunity where my friend found an established wholesale who has a lot of buyers in every state and is Gonna Jv with us for a lot of deals in the next few months. I am gonna die inside watching my friend take all the money using the system I put in place

I am a close friend and grew up with him and I want to stick around ( we are both 20 yrs old). We will see massive amounts of money coming this next year. However I’m worried I will stay hoping for more ownership but will never get it. What do I do? Having thoughts of leaving and have everything I need to do so, however don’t have that connection with mass amounts of buyers and if possible want to salvage this with my friend/ biz partner

Bottom line I know it is a bad partnership but I will be missing out on large amounts of money short term and a friendship if I leave

Thoughts guys? Lol thx

Hi Jon Mann,

In my opinion, finding great deals is more important that any buyers list. If you find great deals, you shouldn't have any difficulty finding buyers.
