Is it a good or bad time to start wholesaling in Denver?

Newbie investor; veteran in the industry on the property management side. I'm wanting to try wholesaling as a way to ease into real estate investment and practice finding/analyzing off market deals. Given the current market, do you think now is a good or bad time to start in wholesaling? Or - with 50K cash right now, is it smarter to invest myself?
