Bandit sign trouble in Texas

Question fellow wholesalers. Just put up 50 signs in my town of 100k population. I put them up Friday evening and received 3 phone calls already so of course I’m pumped. Well my last call was at 3pm and it was a setup. The guy says he’s law enforcement (I’m assuming he’s cod enforcement). I answered the phone and of course I say my name so he has that plus when I setup my google voice I forwarded phone calls to my cell and come to find out when you call my google voice my voicemail spells out my cell number lol. So after deep soul searching I’ve decided to pull the signs off tonight.

My new plan is to put them outside the city limits. Has anybody ran into issues posting them outside city limits?

Thanks guys!
