How to find homes to wholesale

I'm starting out, I've been reaching out via calls and texts with pretty much no success. My next step will be going door to door after work 3 days a week. Exactly how do you guys tend to find potential homes to wholesale? Is there a way to generate lists of homes that for whatever reason are more likely to go under contract with you? Trying to sort this out before I accidentally waste my time from being too eager. Thanks in advance!

The best bet is to turn the click back 12 years....when there were more distressed homes to possibly wholesale than there were beginner wholesalers.
