Renegotiating sales price and sales contract

Hello everyone. I currently have a property under contract that I intend to wholesale which I underestimated the repair costs and need to renegotiate the sales price with the seller. If the seller accepts my offer, can I just write up an addendum to sales contract or do I need to complete another sales contract?
