Becoming a licensed broker to wholesale
Hello, I am new to REI--I just graduated college with an engineering degree and have been having trouble finding a local job in my field, and I stumbled into the idea of real estate investing. Since I am currently unemployed, I have been looking into wholesaling while I continue searching for an engineering job so that I can make some money (and reinvest most into real estate). My concern is with the legality of wholesaling. On a BP blog post I saw the suggestion of becoming a licensed broker to avoid running into legal issues when assigning a contract. I was wondering what the path would look like to do this? How would I become a licensed broker? And when all is said and done, is it worth it to have a broker's license just to wholesale?
