Market by Market, Are Sellers Different When It Comes To Price?

We run into to many people who want top dollar for their property and don't want to give much of a discount, if any at all.  I know that we need to work on our conversion skills as far as using various tactics to get people down on price. I just signed up for Sean Terry's course, and may also sign up with Steve Trang, but sometimes I wonder if the market we are working is just the type of market where sellers aren't as motivated? Or maybe it's because the mortgage lenders are letting people have nine month payment holidays, and these will finally come home to roost next year?  We are working a more sleepy submarket that is very hot and humid, in south Texas.  We just started working San Antonio and may start working parts of Southern California.  I'm hoping these other areas have sellers who are more motivated.  I'd really like to see if it's a market by market thing.  Thoughts?
