What does it take to succeed as a wholesaler?

I am a newbie and wanted to know what I need to do in order to become successful in wholesaling. I want to differentiate myself from my competitors but don't know how yet. Any suggestions on what skills I should have (for example, answering phone) or how I should market to motivated sellers that is unique. Thanks.

In most businesses that is important. Often it is stated as USP "Unique Selling Proposition." Seth Godin calls it the "Purple Cow" http://baltimorerealestateinvestingblog.com/2010/04/purple-cow/

However in wholesaling real estate what counts is simply good deals. In fact simply providing good deal will differentiate you from most wholesalers.

You also don't need to market to sellers in a unique way. You just need to do it consistently and effectively.

Key skills are the same in any endeavor. Persistence, testing and improving your methods and you willingness to step out of your comfort zone will lead to success.

Good luck - Ned
