Hi all! As I begin accumulating information, forms, contacts, etc.. I would love to know from fellow wholesalers how they keep themselves organized? Any tips to organize all the paper? What about Iphone apps? (databases, contact management, real estate specific?) What are your favorites that help keep you organize AND help you do your job smarter?

Thanks all!

Nichole Gabriel I used Evernote for a couple of years before I really got serious about going paperless and put a system into place. Once I did that (and followed it religiously) everything else just fell into place.

I'm a HUGE fan/follower of David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) http://www.davidco.com/ and no other software that I had used in the past really worked well for me. I had heard about people setting up their GTD systems in Evernote, so I started with that.

I spent a lot of time on the Evernote forums reading about going paperless: http://discussion.evernote.com/tags/forums/Paperless/page__search_app_filters[forums][forums][]__39

I bought and read this: http://www.degconsulting.net/evernote.html and then got to work organizing myself and scanning every single piece of paper in my house and office.

I no longer have a physical filing cabinet. I scan and toss or shred everything except for things I absolutely need to keep (passports, etc). No matter where I am, I have full access to all my info/stuff.

For this "creative" (code for disorganized) person, it's made things much easier for me because I can now put my hands on anything I need within seconds.

It is worth mentioning that I also use Dropbox. Evernote is more of a note taking/document storage/file cabinet mechanism, not a hard drive. In my Dropbox I keep things like spreadsheets that I constantly need to use or update.

Hope that helps,

Lynn
