Question on difference between list providers for Yellow Letters

I've seen several different companies mentioned that provide lists for homes to be targeted with yellow letters. My question is, what is the difference in these lists? Are different databases used by the companies to create these lists?

Also, how and where are these businesses accessing this information? Does it vary by state? If so, how do they pull the info in Texas?

Here's a major difference. Some sites like listsource ARE the source and some sites are middlemen that buy, mark-up, and resell the lists.

List Source is a Corelogic company and I think their data comes straight from First American Title.
