Angry Texts from craigslist ad

Just had my first response to one of my craigslist ads for getting leads. They were not happy. Kept calling me a scam. But Im letting it roll off me because not everyone is going to be happy. At first I was taken aback and a little hurt but then realized It'll be ok and I'm going to interact with a lot of interesting people on this journey.

Check out the book "go for no"

It's one of my favorites- shifts your mindset so celebrate the "nos"- no matter how harsh they are.

Every no means you're one step closer to a yes.

Or...

just make sure you don't deal with the people that say  no at all, and just attract people that look for you to sell their house.

There are PLENTY of people that desperately need to sell. People that say no are a waste of time, no matter if you can convert them into a yes with effort.

By the time you convert one no into a yes, or if you count the nos so you are closer to a yes, I would have closed 10 yesses already.

All that turn no's into yesses is great inspirational guru "change your mindset" stuff...

but I much rather adapt a system that gets me yesses all the time, and never lets the "nos" reach me.

That system is called SEO!

BTW,

"Every "no" does NOT get you closer to a yes"

this is not true at all.

Its like saying all endings are happy endings.

This is not a fairy tale.

All the gurus will tell you "You need to make 10 offers a day. If you want deals, you have to make offers". Sounds familiar?

Well let me give you a wake-up call.

I doesn't matter how many offers you make, if you are not dealing with motivated sellers, all your  "below market value" offers will be rejected.

So, sorry but I am a little bit more practical than "every no gets you closer to a yes".

In real life it doesn't work that way.

You need to deal with a motivated seller if you want a below market value offer accepted.

Period. If you are not dealing with a motivated seller you will get a no indefinitely.

I say this bluntly because I really don't want people to think that "as long as I keep trying and stay positive and pray... I will make it"... because that is not the way life works.

If you want to succeed you need to simply STEP UP.

If you get 15 No's... you need to stop and change something... not think  "hey a yes will eventually magically come"..

Look.. all this mind set chage stuff...

there is something that the majority of the public completely misses

I do believe in the positivity of the mind.

BUT not to magically expect things change because you change your mindset.

A change of mindset needs to be followed by an equally powerful action, otherwise nothing will happen.

Yes, the power of the mind and the ability to change your mindset for the better is great. But that does not do anything for you unless... you step up!

What an odd rant to someone elses opinion on something that worked for them.

Pro life tip: Other people can provide advise and opinions as well. And just because something works for you- doesn't mean what others do doesn't also work.

No part of what I said is magically expecting things to change because your mind set changes.

You took 2 sentences I said- And turned it into 40 sentences of putting words into my mouth and literally not having read the content I suggested.

So I realize you sell a system - so this isn't a "wake up call" you're offering. It's a back handed sales pitch as to why your brilliant system is amazing vs. what everyone else does/thinks.

And literally none of this was solicited advice.
