Hello fellow BP'ers and Wholesalers.

I was just thinking about something this morning that I wanted to share.

Several years ago, I was fat.  I mean really fat.  I was closer to 400 pounds than I was to 300.  I lost weight by changing my habits, and there was one that I always fall back on.

I decided to start walking - a lot.  But sometimes, all to often, I didn't want to go out for a walk.  I mean it was time consuming.  It was hot out.  And I just didn't feel motivated.  So I decided one day to just put my shoes on.  That was it.  I committed to putting my shoes on.  Nothing else.  Well, since my shoes were on and the bike trail was literally across the street, I committed to going down to the bike trail.  That was it.  Nothing else.  So I did, and I saw that the local high school was probably a couple of hundred yards away, so I decided, "What the heck.  Go to the high school."  It might take all of 5-10 minutes.  No biggie.  So I did.  And, hey, there's a park across the street with a swing.  I should walk to the park.  I can always sit on the swing.  And so I did.  One little commitment at a time, without even realizing it, and I was at the end of the bike trail - about 1 1/4 miles from home.  And so I did it.  In the end, 2 1/2 miles of walking and I didn't even know I was doing it.

I can't tell you how many times I decided to just put on my shoes.  That's it.  Nothing else.  Just put on my shoes.  I've lost a LOT of weight, just by committing to put on my shoes.

This real estate thing is hard.  There's marketing, networking, researching, driving, learning, talking to people, and all sorts of things.  It's time consuming and hard work.  It can be overwhelming.

So today, I decided I need to commit to putting on my real estate shoes.  Nothing else.

So I ask you, my BP friends.  What is the one small commitment you will make to yourself today?  Nothing else.
