Baltimore MD Row Houses
I need some serious input about what some of you think about these "opportunities". I'm trying to get started and I see these pop up all the time. They usually start out at somewhere around 8K for a total rehab and go up to 65k with a renter already in place dishing out $850/month.
Have any of you local guys had any REAL luck with these?
I'm still trying to find my first deal and I might go the route of just buying a couple of these and renting to start with for a few years.

There was a company that always would send out emails for properties he was listing/selling in Baltimore. He would list SFR for about $80,000 that were collecting $1300 per month in section 8 rents. It seems that the value of a lot of the properties up there are not necessarily based on comps but how much the tenant is paying.
As a side note, this company recently pulled out of Baltimore and is working in PG County.
