Software for Wholesalers... Is it worth it?

I'm a buy-and-hold investor of 12 years. I recently got into wholesaling and I've been kicking around the various software products available specifically for wholesalers. I subscribed to realeflow, but I'm not too impressed by it. In fact, their "instant websites" are down. When I asked when they'd be back up, I got "We've got several issues going on there. And we don't know when they'll be up." That's it! So much for having a business plan right? (A recently started using another company's website product)

I've got my eye on FreedomSoft, but I'm questioning if the 100-200-300 a month is really worth it. It not so much that I'm worried about the money, but I'm concerned about buying something I don't really need. I'm an agent and have MLS access, and use it to pull comps and do research. It just seems like that alone does most of what some of these wholesaler programs try to do.

I've read alot of posts on here about wholesaler's software, and most have been complaining about the monthly fees these companies charge. This makes me wonder how successful someone is to complain about a hundred or two dollars a month invested in their business. I want to hear from someone who is doing a good wholesale business. I would like to know what they are using to manage their business. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I've learned how to model people to duplicate their results. Sow the same seeds... reap the same rewards. I've also learned NOT TO MODEL people who have alot of suggestions but haven't personally achieved the results I want in my life. Okay, now I'm starting to sound like Tony Robbins : ) If I say much more I'll have to charge someone for it.

Anyway, is anyone doing between 5-15+ wholesale deals a month who cares to share what system they are using? I eventually want to be doing around 5+ deals a month, and plan to do so with the help of a VA. (I don't want a job. I want a business) This, of course, requires that I have system that he/she can access remotely.

Thanks!

I think I was the one that started that FreedomSoft thread. I never ended up purchasing it, nor any other product.

For now, I maintain multiple Excel spreadsheets and find it about the easiest to continue along the path I'm using. It's not a scientific system, but it works for me! To make things a little easier, I used Google Docs/Drive to help with keeping them current and online accessible from anywhere.

When I'm data mining, I use the MLS since I am a broker.

I'm not convinced those all-in-one suites could do much better than what I can do with my knowledge, and capabilities with searching via the MLS and tax records. Plus, my way is free!
