Do you have to b a real estate agent to wholesale in Florida?

So my fiance and I were hoping to make money through Wholesaling because we are just starting out and don't have a lot of money saved up, but we heard Florida is against Wholesaling if you aren't a real estate agent which neither of us are.

Has anyone currently a wholesaler in Florida, or know if this is indeed accurate?
