Newbie doing wholesales in NY, help!

I'm asking [/u]not only for myself, but for all the start-up newbies:
1. What type of membership of REIA you recommended? Is $200 regualr membership ok? or it's worthless that you have to spend $750? (newbies has tight budget here!)
2. Which title company you used and recommended for double closing?
What's the best fax machine you recommended(I need to replace my old one)?
3. If you do double closing, do you need to sign the purchase contract before closing or sign it on the date of the closing?
4. If a deal fall apart, how much title cost you will need to pay title company?
5. How much money and how many days you spent before you collect your 1st wholesale check from the title company?
Thanks!
