When to Start doing due diligence on a property

In the timeline of doing a wholesale deal when do you start the process of doing due diligence. After I get off the phone with the seller or before? Or should I get a appointment Scheduled then do that so I have a offer ready at the appointment. I have been getting leads but I feel that this confusion slows me down. HELP WHEN YOU SEE looking to become more efficient.
