First time buyer! Where should I start?

Hey everyone! I’m new to this but I’ve just Graduated college and I’m looking to get into my first buy soon.

I’m currently living in San Francisco CA and we all know this place is too pricy. I’ve been wanting to buy my first house on my own so I can learn each step on my first deal.

Can anyone recommend if I should purchase a rental property outside of Bay Area so it’s close enough for me to handle or should I look outside of state because it’s a lot more affordable but I won’t be getting as much experience as I would if I was physically there.
