North Texas Starting Out

Hey Everyone, so I'm a pretty new beginner in real estate. I have went to a couple REI meetings and on here. I live in North Texas in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I want to start off wholesaling but in the end think partnerships are the way to go in the future. Any tips anyone has or pointers would be awesome. Just trying to learn and dive in. Also is it best to invest in this market or somewhere nearby or out of state.
