Can you purchase a home instead of wholesaling it?

Hello to All,

I'm a beginning wholesaler. My husband and I will be looking to purchase a home within the next year or so. I was just wondering, has anyone of you ever ended up purchasing a property (for your own personal use) that you had intended to wholesale?

Can you actually do that? Is it legal? I've been thinking that maybe we should consider purchasing one of these type properties ourselves, fix it up to have as our very own.

Can this be done? Will the title company allow you to do this? Any tips, suggestions? If this can be done, would we go through the same process as we would if we were actually wholesaling it?

Thanks!
