ghetto areas

As a wholesaler, even if i get it at the right price is it still a good idea to put a property under contract in a real ghetto area (looks rough, a lot of shootings, and a lot of gangs and a lot of section 8 housing). The reason i ask is because most investors want good areas, however a lot of the ones that own these houses in ghetto areas are investors. The one i bought a wholesaling course from said anywhere people live. So should i put it under contract or pass on it since its a bad area?

"Ghetto" is such a derogatory term....We should refer to the areas in question as low income areas. I think that these areas are a great place to start making money in. There are always deals to find and always an endless supply of buyers, investors and tenants.
