How to figure out property value?
Let's say customer says property is valued at 100k, do you go based on them, or do you pay to have an appraisal? From what I heard an appraisal isn't necessary. What are some other ways of knowing the property value other then the sellers word for it?
Thanks.

The other problem with your post Matt is that you are new here, and you aren't offering anything, along with asking a fairly "entry level" question.
I don't know if you also have a job in the corporate world, but what you did is kind of like sending an email to all of the company VPs asking "where's the bathroom?"
Everyone wants to help you learn, so you can be a potential deal partner. That doesn't mean, however, that you are automatically considered a deal partner. Proving the value that you bring to the table here is a big part of getting the kind of responses you are looking for. Asking questions to which the answers are obvious and purporting yourself as a "wholesaler" without even a fundamental understanding of how to evaluate a deal is a way to go in the opposite direction.
