Is wholesaling in the Bay Area a waist of time?

Hi BP community,

I’ve spoken to some people in the Bay Area and mostly everyone is telling me its nearly impossible to wholesale houses here. They said the market is so much different than 8-10 years ago. The prices are getting to be ridiculous. There are small 2 bedroom houses in the worst parts of oakland that have crack heads squating inside and windows boarded up still selling for 400k+. Even through probate which i thought would be my way to start its going to be difficult because of the over-bid process. I know nothing comes easy in this world thats obvious but some things you have to  be realistic about also. If anyone has any information on this topic i would love to hear from you. Also would love to meet up with any bay area wholesalers if they have the time.

Thanks!

it's a lot more work but the rewards are much more generous. assignment fees of 25k+ is normal!
