What are you paying to mail a letter and/or postcard?

Curious what everyone is paying for mailing letters and postcards.  I contacted a University printing lab (they'll print for anyone).

I can get

  • #10 business envelop with return address and unique shipping address for .08 cents each (minimum 1000, all of them are)
  • a folded 8.5x11" black and white letter for .08 cents each
  • 4x6", two sided, black and white post card printed for .24 cents

With this system, I'm stuck stuffing and stamping the letters, and stamping the post cards.  I could pay someone to do this.  Curious if this is potentially cheaper than using a known service.

Also, any recommendations for bulk postage?  I'm curious who I'd use, and how much the bulk discounts are.
