How does one go about in finding a wholesaler in my area?

Im not entirely sure how to find a wholesaler in my area. I think a wholesaler is someone who has a lot of home inventory which is in not too great condition, therefore good for a flipper. Please correct me if Im wrong but how does on go about in finding a wholesaler ? Thanks and apologies for the newbiness of my question but Im as green as they come. :D
