Wholesale Probate question. Put under contract while case is open

Hello, I am a new wholesaler in Houston, TX. I have a good probate lead but the probate case just started, I know cases can last 6+ months. My question is can you put a house under contract before the Independent Executrix has ownership of the property? or before the probate case is closed? Thanks!
