Newbie in Upstate NY

I am new to wholesaling in Upstate NY and so far not having great luck.  No real experience in real estate.  It is a passion of mine that I've always wanted to try.  Any investors in Upstate NY?

I think I need to start with wholesaling as I don't have a lot of money.  I Had 1 property under contract but couldn't seem to find a buyer and lost the property.  It was a total rehab and has been sitting for about 6 years.  It was part of an estate.  Looking for advice.  I have been listening to BP podcasts.  Love them!

What is the best way to find a property to wholesale?
