NC Broker did not pay wholesaler agreed amount .. Advice?

URGENT! I am a wholesaler who agreed to let a realtor broker a deal. We had a verbal agreement that his commission fee would be split equally (3 ways) (another broker was involved too). After closing, he said he felt that I only deserved $1000 bc I only found the buyer. I  need general and legal advice on how to move forward. I am owed over $6000. All advice is welcomed.
