Paying for Coaching or Mentoring

I would like anyone's opinion on paying for coaching or mentoring in Wholesaling? I am brand new to Wholesaling. I'd like to know if anyone has paid for a coach or mentor and how it went for you? Did you think it was worth it? Did it speed things up for you? I know coaching can be a benefit but is it worth paying for for Wholesaling? I know there are national Guru's out there but I'm talking about using someone local to your own area that may go to your REIA. So you see and know first hand they are successful. Thanks
