Contacting divorce and Estate Planning attorneys
Hey Everyone,
I'm looking to buy distressed or out dated properties in Minnesota (Twin Cities area and surrounding subs) cash and I would like to contact divorce and Estate Planning attorneys for leads on properties they know of. My question is what is the best way to contact these professionals?
My goal of doing this to buy properties individuals who need to sell quickly and these professionals deal with these types of people everyday. What would a good email look like to them?
Thanks for the help BP!

If you were excited to pursue this I would look online for people in your area that you can network with. There are professional networking groups these people are in but I am not sure they would let you in with your goal... Looking for divorce and estate property may not be as easy as it seems. Many times one party wants to keep the property so less of these are sold to outside parties than it may seem.
In the case of a divorce, one spouse is usually awarded the house. If neither of them want it they usually agree to sell it and it is listed with a realtor.
In the case of an estate - many of these are planned in advance and if they aren't, many of these end up in a fight with beneficiaries which can take a while to figure out. These can be a mess if there are many beneficiaries as someone always thinks the property is worth more than it is.
Then come the odd chance that the properties are significantly distressed or out dated....
I think this is a good idea but personally I would hound the MLS, look at unpaid tax records, and try networking with wholesalers and realtors who are more likely to come across value add properties.
