Best List to COLD CALL!

Hi BP Community,

I've been wholesaling by driving for dollars and direct mail campaigns. I'm ready to begin cold calling and wanted to know what the best lists (type of owner) I should cold call? I wanted to hit Absentee Owners of vacant homes but saw a blog that said only cold call FSBOs, Expireds, NODs, and For rent. Is this sound advice? (Bonus question, can I cold call cash buyers or only send them letters?)

Thanks BP Community!

@Roger Covin -- When I first started, I was cold calling FSBO and CL to cut my teeth and that's like getting thrown into the lion's den and your only weapon is a piece of steak. Maybe that was just me!

We found decent success with using Been Verified. Our best success has been using direct mail and sending postcards to very specific niches of data. Absentee owners are overworked, so we went beyond and found our motivation with landlords in different directions.
