Legalities of Advertising a Property Under an Option Contract

Hey all,

Just wondering if there are any legal issues with advertising a property in regards to what type of contract you have (Option, Flex-Option, or Purchase Contract).

What I gathered from this thread (see the last few posts from Joseph Ziolkowski)

http://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/87/topics/40010-advertising-

is that you can advertise a property you don't own (but have under contract) because you're advertising your right to buy the property not the property itself. Is this correct?

And if so, does it apply to both option and flex-option contracts?

Thanks for any replies. I appreciate your time.
