Does anyone else get hung up on by agents? Is that normal?

So I called an agent today about a property a friend of mine just put on the market, after having talked to her, to see if the Agent had worked with wholesalers/would be ok with working with a wholesaler as I wanted to buy her property.  Anywho the Agent picks up, we make introductions, say hello, tell him the property im looking at, and then the moment i asked if he had worked with wholesalers before the line got quiet for a second and then he just hung up on me, no response just hung up. Thought we might have got disconnected so i tried calling back 3-4 times spacing the calls out about an hour apart just in case he was busy, but its clear is ignoring the calls.

Is this a common thing in wholesaling? The call seemed to be going well up until i said the word wholesale and then he just hung up.
