Wholesaling or REI in general

Hey guys, first I want to say thanks for looking at my post and any possible replies.

I'm brand new here to BP I'm 21, and I'm a truck driver OTR making pretty decent money. But I want to make the switch into REI as a full time career. I'm in the St. Louis Missouri area and I've been hearing a lot about wholesaling and everything I've read so far is a little bit of ups and downs on where to start. So if I were to do wholesaling, here's where my confusion comes in:

1) marketing. How do I even find properties I want to wholesale?

2) where do I go to meet and greet with possible investors and people of the sort?

I've gathered how the contract side of things goes down, though I'm a little confused about assigning the contract to somebody else, if I would need a title company or anything like that. Anyone interested in helping would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again,

Justin
